I’ve just read that Danny Boy has to pay five quid for a bus ticket to Inverness and can only conclude that I must have ‘one foot in the grave’ since “I can’t believe it”.
Last time I took the bus through to Inverness it cost 2 shillings return and occasionally I could go there by train for 9D return. The latter journey had to be taken in the evening and was referred to locally as “a nine penny rush”. GOOD OLD DAYS???
