Work on the widening of the bankie footpath (Motorway) continues, with the first section of around 200 yards still under construction. It appears that the widening work on this part has been completed and that various surfaces now need to be applied to complete the job. At this rate it is going to be well into the summer before all the work is completedMeanwhile on the A96 warning notices of the closure of the Brae have been posted
Should it not be the Parkie Footpath,or the Prom.?
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know the 'parkie' is the strip of land in the fishertown between the houses in Park St and the bankie?
ReplyDeleteThe 'prom' or promenade might well be the name given to the bankie by holiday makers?
