It’s not Rocket Science

William Roe is chairman of Highland and Islands Enterprise, in itself not a problem but he is also chairman of a consultancy company called Rocket Science, and it is alleged that Rocket Science was awarded contracts by HIE without going through the proper tendering process.
Further to that, it was found that one report prepared by Rocket Science for HIE was plagiarized from other academic papers, monies charged for this report are to be returned.
As reported by the Inverness Courier, MSP Mary Scanlon is asking both Audit Scotland and HIE for an explanation, meanwhile Mr. Roe seems to be happy to continue in both posts.
