We're all minced with that startling vid from that Forres loon. (see post below)
The Inverness Courier states that the public inquiry reporter Janet McNair has handed her recommendations to ministers earlier this week.
No doubt we'll soon know if we'll be able to have the sort of retail food choice that many towns smaller than Nairn take for granted. Here's hoping for the right decision.
Och Well,we will all have to starve
ReplyDeletefor another wee while yet then.
I was browsing the mince loon's youtube page and it looks like he's from Forres. I thought the Red Beastie was a Forres pub. Must have been a bad day through there if they had nae mince given all the food retail outlets they have.
ReplyDeleteHave they got a Somerfield (or Co-op)? Maybe thats why they didn't
ReplyDeletehave any.
Sandy - fae's oor mince!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd if it is approved do we then have to wait for a bunch of self righteous narrow minded selfish millionaires to appeal the decision through the courts and leave us to contend with what seems to be an ever worsening retail experience now offered by the Nairn co-op mafia?
ReplyDeleteFunky, I think you are making a reference to the ASDA situation in Inverness. Well let's be clear about one thing, developers should have the right to resort to law and just processes if they think something is wrong just as citizens and concerned groups should do if they feel ill-treated by the process. The law is there to protect us all, in the final analysis it is all that keeps us from anarchy.
ReplyDeleteSome might not agree with such behaviour but we have to support their right to do so or we lose the right to call ourselves a democracy.
Furthermore the Gurnmeister is not completely au fait with the Inverness ASDA situation but it seems that more than a few millionaires were gurning about some aspects of it.
It'll always be easier for Nairnites to get to ASDA in Elgin than the one planned for Inverness.
ReplyDeleteAll I want is decent shopping in Co-op Town. Since to myself the town needs decent shopping. Also maybe people stop treating us as part of Inverness.
