What about a blue plaque on the wall of the remaining portion of the Regal to mark this historic occasion?
Mike Wilhelm's blog suggests that the Four managed to slip out of their Forres hotel the next day without settling their bill (of course, this was before credit cards came into use - Barclaycard arrived about 1967, I believe).
Wonder which hotel this was, and did they ever send a cheque when they could afford it?

And just look at the state of the Regal building now.
In such a prominent position it's a disgrace to the town.
