It turns white this time every year. All the gulls are nesting at the moment, and many roost on the roofs in your photo. It will be washed off by the Autumn rains as usual. This is a seaside town and the abundance of fast food left overs and easy access to over flowing litter bins dont help. People are the problem, not the gulls.
In the US they have been encouraging new builds in some states to have white roofs to help with global warming, perhaps the Nairn birds are helping us along that route?
their are a few old buildings for them too crap on not just the regal. why not just pull them down. as they do nothing for nairn or the people of nairn. with the work going on around the highstreet this may take the vistors eyes off the other eyesores that have been left.

we could always paint the town red bring a bit more colour too it. paint brush anyone?
Ask Rosemary!
Perhaps if they could all be encouraged to crap on the old Regal building for a week then they'd be no need for a paintbrush job there?
