Bulb planting
Thanks to Billy for this picture of the bulb planting by the Grantown road today. Keeping Nairnshire Colourful planted thousands of muscari to create a cascade effect down the brae.
The council better get a move on as its going to be dead embarrassing if there is no burial plots for the deceased & yes you wont get an answer if you care to ask the council which causes distress to those who in their later years in life can get a bit of comfort knowing that there is a peace of land set aside for their burial.
check again with council you will find that they are going too extend the cemetary grantown road side. this is the top part were you see the high wall. we only found this out as that was were we were going too plant our bulbs.
Yet another example of infrastructure problems. The cemetery is running out of space but where close to the town could a new one be situated? Think about it, realistically there is no where, the only green spaces in the town are the Farmers Field, Viewfield or the Links and I can't see any of these places being used. One option would be to have an out of town cemetery or start to reuse plots within the current one. Whichever option is used the Council needs to get a move on and come up with a solution.
This will be a nice sight in the spring. Where will the next sight for cemetary plots though. I have heard the council has no plots left in Nairn.
ReplyDeletehave heard they are going too extend on the old side of the cemetary plots. above were we planted the bulbs.
ReplyDeleteTry asking the Council about where any new cemetery will be, see if you can get an answer?
