Volunteers step in to keep Nairn Colourful
Despite the cut, we'll still have the flowerbeds beside the A96. They are being planted by volunteers. This one was planted up by the Keeping Nairnshire Colourful group, others will soon be planted by the Gardening club and other groups. Well done citizens! Thanks to Billy for the picture.
Instead of wasting money on a projecting clock at Castle Lane why not put it to better use and use it to sponsor the flower beds and hanging baskets about the town?
Instead of people gurning about it why dont they themselves get involved in there own free time and help out the people who are trying there hardest to make this town look respectable i wonder how many volanteers you will get to help out the people who are giving there best Well done to the people who have I give you my respect
All fair and well, Sarah, and great that people are giving their time and energy but where do you draw the line when it comes to paying for the plants and materials?
the keeping nairnshire colourful group got money from the lottery to pay for the plants and materials, and this is a perennial planting as will the two other beds.
Keeping Nairnshire Colourfull Group are donating flowers and plants to variouse orginisations in Nairn The BBs and Girl guides are getting involved as well and also people from the public themselves volunteering in there own time and being supplied with what they need as Growtosow said they have got help from the National Lottery and Local Buisnesses theres where the money is coming from if you would like to make a donation it would be most gracefully received
