Ch-ch-ch-ch-chainges - Laurie switches the bling?
One of our sharp-eyed regular readers has noticed that Laurie has had a bit of a Provosterial chain switch recently and informed us of the new style compared with that on display at one of his civic appearences in March 2011. Above you can see the bling back in March
And here's some more recent bling from last month. Which style suits Laurie best?
once again, more public money spent on expensive adormements, are we not keeping these public sector workers in too much luxury whilst we,the general public are suffering cuts,i know i,m gurning, but i,ll be wasting my time as it will not be posted
Does he have a selection of chains? These look like two different chains but the same medallion, is it a pick and mix? Can he accessorise depending on what mood he's in on the day?
Now, now, please temper your feelings please, funny stuff yes but not too OTT please. If you are really, really, upset with Laurie then take it to the ballot box next May.
Sainsburys when it opens will do a range of exclusive Nairn Provosts Chains which every fashion conscious guy will be seen wearing on the High Street, the LF label designed accessory was a massive hit at this years Paris fashion show with predictions that demand will be huge for the product, I was also told that representatives from Sainsburys fashion department were so impressed by some of the Nairn councillors sartorial elegance when they met early last year that they hope to to The Marsden Range of jackets, plus The Park range of golfing wear & after shave which they hope to have on sale at the festive season, watch this space for fashion updates, **** breaking news there could be a Gurn range of bobble hats in the very near future ****

ReplyDeleteYo, pimp ma chain
ReplyDeleteJust how much bling does the man have, or has he had to porn the larger one in these hard times?
Money spent? Maybe it was lying around in a civic top draw somewhere?
ReplyDeleteI object to Laurie being referred to as "tack"
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty other words that are much more appropriate to describe the man
At least he hasn't splashed out on new ties as well as chains
ReplyDeleteDoes he have a selection of chains? These look like two different chains but the same medallion, is it a pick and mix? Can he accessorise depending on what mood he's in on the day?
ReplyDeleteIs it time to pull the chain must be flush to afford 2 its money down the toilet, it leaves a bad smell.n
ReplyDeleteHe's a good lad really, just in with a bad crowd. Should never have binned Liz though!
ReplyDeleteDid Liz grab the big chain back and Laurie is now left wearing a cake decoration instead?
ReplyDeleteWill the Nairnshire see a rash of chain letters after folk see this article on the Gurn?
ReplyDeleteSurely a case of Laurie and the missing link(s)?
ReplyDeleteNow, now, please temper your feelings please, funny stuff yes but not too OTT please. If you are really, really, upset with Laurie then take it to the ballot box next May.
ReplyDeleteIs the town of Nairn so rich and large that there are not only two languages spoken but the Provost has a fine choice of gold chains to wear as well?
ReplyDeleteCould it be that the poor man broke the old one and has got a cheap replacement?
