Who does Gurnshire most want in the bin?
Have you voted in the the latest unscientific Gurn poll? Over on the right in the sidebar.Who would you like most to lose their seat at the elections in May? The results so far at 22nd September above. Picture will enlarge.
I think he just might Anon. Obviously being a LibDem is toxic in its own right in the Highlands and has interesting implications for the make-up of Highland Council come the elections in May. Graham, however, was seen by some as the main man behind the successful plot to depose Liz as Provost and he also made an unfortunate remark at the time of the threat to the swimming pool. Two occasions where quite a few people that pay normally do not much attention to local politics were walking around with antenae on high alert. It all depends on whether other candidates decide to stand in May and a week is a long time in politics etc but Graham could be a casualty when the elections come round!
Shame the bins are only emptied once a fortnight now
ReplyDeleteGreat graphic Gurn, I laughed out loud when I first saw it (unlike those featured!)
Is this a photo of the local dignitaries riding in the Doc's new train?
ReplyDeleteWould the collection of a councillor incur a £15 collection charge?
ReplyDeleteSurely they should be in blue bins as they get recycled after every election!
Shouldn't there be a wee libdem birdie on the bin that is nearly half full?
ReplyDeleteWould Graham be in the lead if he was an Independent candidate - or if the Lib Dems weren't in coalition with the Conservatives ? I don't think so.

Gawd, now you've gone and bin and done it. Sorry that's the best I can muster - bit of a late one last nite.
ReplyDeleteIn England they'll get this sort of rubbish collected once a week soon
