A very well-researched article by Rosemary Lowne: Fears grow for tourism after Nairn nomination
The Inverness Courier seems to be showing quite an interest in Nairn affairs recently and it was interesting to see their prescence at the River CC meeting last night.

Hello (arggghhh!!) After many years in gestation, the all-new(ish) Tittle Tattle Times Blog has erupted, Vesuvius-like. Better check it out before I change my mind!! Arggghhh!! http://tittletattletimes.blogspot.com/
Give a gal a break, you horribly lovely old macho-man! C'mon gurney wurney, give a wee but big blast to the all-new quite surreal and strange TTT. You know you wanty. In these days of doom & despondency we need a bit o that, no?
Pooks. (Wannabe Wifey par extraordinaire)
It's absolutely fantastic - I'm away to be depressed for a few days/months/weeks but I do hope the surrealistes of Nairn (I know you are out there, somewhere)will go Tittle Tattling! Pip Pip xx
Sorry to break threads. I know they are important. Jamais plus!
Yes, I would advise a bit of a laugh is the thing. otherwise I might smite you with a handy bolt of lightning.
Quote taken from the Courier article
'Nairnbairn is anonymous'
he's not, he just wishes he was
Go Tittle tattling, say I!
Ermmm, excuse me and that. But I would rather you didn't take my name in vain, if that's OK with you and that? G XX
From the courier article:
"They are just a tacky second-rate stunt by a PR agency," said Councillor Graham. "The process has no credibility and when Inverness was shortlisted last year it was based on one anonymous comment"
Funny I could almost have believed that he was talking about Highland Council Planning Department......
With the prospect of Nairn winning a national award PLUS getting professional advice on how to improve matters, this should be given the full support it deserves. Rather than a few individuals like Marsden moaning and painting a negative.
Come on Nairn, let's win this! Become the best town nationally, AND take the professional advice.
em, isn't it taking 'professional' advice that helped get us in this mess?
what the hell are you all talking about nairn is like a ghost town
i agree nairn is a ghost town got nothing going for the place but more closed shops so whats the point in visiting the dump
