Elected by secret ballot...
...at the River CC last night by the eight members of the Council. The new co-opted members are John Dolan, Simon Noble and Freddie Holmes. Then there were eleven...
The River CC was by self appointment this time round (no ballot) so why have a 'secret ballot' for co-opted members, surely they could have just walked into the posts?
Yes that was a pity because the Boath Park candidate actually wanted to stand for the initial election but wasn't registered on the roll. By the time it was sorted it was too late. This observer still believes that Community Councils can have associate members who have no voting rights so who knows?
