A rare occasion for the Fishertown as Alan Watts and Carol Barron hold their wedding reception in the Seaman's Hall. The hall was a popular venue for such events in the not too distant past.

Margaret Bochel published two excellent booklets entitled "Nairn Fishertown Weddings" and "Nairn Seamans Victoria Hall" (amongst others), which may still be available from the book shop or the museum.I also recall another Fishertown lassie Elsa Main was married at the Seamans Hall a couple of years ago, thus carrying on a tradition some 135 years old.
