You can't miss the Taxi 24/7 office after the makeover. Regular Gurnite Shaun wrote in, the new colour scheme got him thinking.
"Hi Gurn, is it just me that has raised an eyebrow at the newly painted day-glo yellow taxi office in the High St, it brought to mind the Joni Mitchell song Big Yellow Taxi, you know the one about paving paradise to put up a parking lot. A lot of stuff in that song is quite pertinent to the current goings on in the town centre. A 25 year wait to end up with about 25 parking spaces, thanks Nairn and Highland Council's visionary stuff."
Nice song. Check out the Dead Flamingoes. Pretty good reality check. Onwards & Upwards out of all the BS, eh? P xx
ReplyDeletePookie you always brighten up my day i think your so sexy and going by the washing you have been hanging out no wonder i cant get you out of my head. I think your a tease but i like you. I like your black suspenders by the way the red ones are to bright?.
ReplyDeleteWHAT AN EYE SORE.
ReplyDeleteReally, I think most folk will be a bit more chilled about it really.
ReplyDeletePersonally I think the phone box outside the Royal Bank that doubles up as an advertising hording is just about the only eyesore on the High Street.
Is it definitely going to be given up for parking?....I thought it was to be sold on.
ReplyDeleteAs far as this observer is aware, the Highland Council policy (of the last administration) is to develop the old Community Centre site but others in Nairn would like to see it kept for parking.
ReplyDeleteTalking of makeovers have anyone notice the the signal boxes at the train station have been painted and the boards are now off the windows ?
ReplyDeleteHey, seret admirer - i think your spelchecker is malllfuncktioning. Plus, With a bod like mine, I don't need no accessories. Know what I mean. I think you've been peeking over the wrong garden wall luv! Strickly big blue navy knickers and industrial strength bras for this ol' south london soul gal. Class in a glass. P xx
ReplyDeleteIf you closely at the 'new' paint scheme on the new taxi office, you will see that the wall at the side, in Falconers Lane, has been painted a less acid tone of yellow. Positively almost mustard..ish, certainly less of a jaw dropping choice, compared to the front of the building.
ReplyDeleteI was told on Saturday that the front is to be repainted the slightly more muted colour.
