at least it was not left to fall to bits and be other eyesore for our town, can they do the bus station next then the regal thanks, and the high street could do with a spruce up as well, but we knew that anyway, its a pity someone had to write to the nairnshire about it folk do notice, just a shame the folk who own the buildings can not see it as well, a trip to specsavers perhaps guys?
I can remember when i was a child going along to the arcade and having a shot of the dodgem cars that were there outside they ran on electric motors the same idea as mobility scooters now, you put in ten pence and you got about 5 minutes it was great plus there was bingo there as well and you could win prizes sad to see its all gone now but happy memories.
C'mon the gurn with some news, at this rate there will be more in the Nairnshire this week. Might make it worth the 45p for once, as it will be items I haven't already read!!!

Well, that's a sad sight.
I spent a lot of time in there during my 'feral youth' days playing pool and gambling my hard earned money on the machines!

So that's the end of what was once an amusement arcade.
No prizes for guessing what's going to be built there now .....
An amusement arcade from the early sixties, before that, big 'Sutors Ellen's' yard and before that Mrs. Rose's drying green.
If Rueben Merrick was alive today , he would be turning in his grave. If Rueben Merrick was alive today he wouldn't be in his grave :-)
