Swift action by Highland Council to ensure the car park at Kingsteps remains open. Their press release states:
"The Highland Council
was granted an interim interdict at Inverness Sheriff Court today (Friday) to
ensure continued access by vehicle, foot, cycle or horseback to its car park to
the east of Nairn at Kingsteps.
The Council’s action was in
response to a decision by the landowner to erect a locked gate denying access
to the car park.
This means that the gate cannot be
closed across the access road and will allow public access, which has been
exercised for more than 20 years, to continue."

'Oh no it's not'
Sir, I must protest. 'The Jacobite' is clearly just one of those CAPITALISTS. Perhaps even an Edinburgh Banker?
ReplyDeleteEither that, or he's using a faulty keyboard?
Dont count your chicks yet lads and lasses--Brodie wont take this lying down--good though for common sense to prevail.
ReplyDeleteWell I will be definitely driving down there to walk my dog in Culbin forest. I won't be blocking residents, I won't leave my dog poo, I won't be shooting anything and won't be taking drugs. Hopefully ABB will see sense and leave the gate open
ReplyDeleteA message to you all, you cant put brains into cement.

ReplyDeleteUpdate from us. Took the car down and had a great walk in beautiful Culbin. No sign of hunters, druggies or boy racers. There were another 4 cars in the car park so it was great to see other folk using the car park
ReplyDeletePlease keep the gate open, at least during daylight hours
