Billy, one of our regular readers writes: "Just a gurn about the loos in the town center, was over the town yesterday and went to use the loo in the town center only to find them closed, and a notice saying use the ones in harbour street, they were closed as well, not a lot of use to folk if you cannot get in to any of them, I know its the hols but even saying that I am sure some one could have opened them up, or is it something to do with cutbacks."
The Gurn immediately spoke to one of our regular unreliable sources and it seems that it is indeed the case that the toilets are closed on the 1st and 2nd of January each year and also Christmas Day. Apparently this has been the case for several years according to our in the know expert.
