Some DE Shoes shops taken over but not Nairn

The Courier reported on Friday that Inverness based Begg Shoes and Bags have acquired the DE shops in Lerwick, Kirkwall, Inverurie, Peterhead and Elgin.  

The company decided not to take over the two DE stores in Inverness itself because they were “not considered to be economically viable”.

A shame they didn’t take over the Nairn store too, surely the situation in Nairn with Inverness nearby will be similar to the Inverurie-Aberdeen relationship?  Let's hope others are still looking at Nairn however.
