It’s probably still a bit too cold to support world naked garden day this Saturday. Perhaps something for next year
as a fund raiser for the Allotment Society? Is this why there are so many polytunnels
these days given the recent bad springs?
More seriously and not far from Nairn,
there’s a seed and plant exchange this Sunday at Newbold House in Forres,
details on this Facebook page. Thanks to the regular reader that sent us both
those gardening links.
Another reader informs us of cold-calling
scam with callers offering to service your Dyson vacuum cleaner. It has been
around for a bit but our correspondent feels that he might nearly have become a
victim recently if he hadn’t seen an item on TV. This Which web page gives details.
This observer had a call from someone
overseas in connection with my PC today. They seemed stunned when I told them
that I didn’t have a PC anymore because I hadn’t kept up the payments and the
Sheriff Officers had taken it back. He was very sympathetic and perhaps on the verge
of organising a whip round in his office? Have any Gurnites out there ever lied
to people cold-calling about imagined problems with their bits of technology?

I recently purchased one of these call blockers http://www.cprcallblocker.com/
Works a treat.
