Nairn 2 Forres 0. A good crowd up at Station Park for the
cup derby between the neighbouring towns.
In the end Forres had only nine men on the park as Connor Gethins got a
second via a penalty as the Can-Cans keeper headed for an early bath – Good
night to Stuart Knight! Connor’s first
one was 2 minutes short of the half time whistle. The ten man and then nine man
Forres side were never out of this though and caused a few scares before the referee
blew for full time. A less than perfect progression to the final but the home
fans were happy and looking forward to another day out – the fourth to a North
Cup final in six years!
And so County “We Believers” look forward
to the final against either Wick or Brora.
The North Of Scotland cup final between Nairn County and Wick/Brora will take place on October 19th at Clach Park
