Several fines recently for doggie jobbies in Nairn

The River Community Council heard tonight that several on the spot fines for dog fouling had been issued recently in Nairn. The meeting was told that the dog warden was only in Nairn for two days a week but that she was really trying hard to reduce the dog mess in Nairn.
Fines are currently £50 a time and tonight those usual suspects and members of the public present at the meeting were told that if two people actually witness someone leaving dog mess then they can report that and action will be taken.

"if two people actually witness someone leaving dog mess then they can report that"

How?

Try the Highland Council service point in the Courthouse perhaps? Or e-mail one of the Councillors and ask them to forward the information?

So if dog owner's get fined for leaving dog mess on the grass area, what is going to happen to those people that drive on the grass at the old Sundancer, the grass is so churned up the council will need to resow the area.

I gather that the Sundancer is to become a restaurant - will customer parking be provided?

I would ask anyone in Nairn to phone and report - 01349 886606.
If you see someone who fails to clear up after their dog - Please report them! Dog Dirt is potentially very dangerous - Particularly to kids.
Many thanks
