Transport Scotland answer questions on the A96 dualling plans

Various folk, including community council officers have recently received a document entitled: "A96 to Nairn (Incl. Nairn Bypass) Frequently asked questions - March 2014" from Transport Scotland.  Here are a couple of extracts from the document that deal with a couple of highly relevant topics, Delnies Wood and the lack of a junction for the proposed developments at Nairn South. Interesting that they mention "the constraint at the existing railway bridge in Nairn", a factor that will be to the fore at the forthcoming South Nairn planning appeal hearing.

The document also states: "The Scottish Government is seeking to reach a position of confirming  a preferred route in 2014, to provide certainty for affected parties." The document restates the commitment of the Scottish Government to dual the entire A96 by 2030.
