Alex Salmond v Danny Alexander in May 2015?

Last night Alex Salmond hinted on the BBC's Question Time that he may stand for a Westminster seat at the next General Election in May. When asked by David Dimbleby he replied:

"“The answer to your question, David, absolutely, decisively, I can tell you I haven’t made up my mind. So you’ll have to wait and see. But I tell you what, when I do make up my mind, you invite me back on to Question Time and I’ll tell you why I did it."

Interestingly the SNP have not yet selected a candidate for the Inverness, Nairn, Badeonoch and Strathspey seat of Danny Alexander yet. If Alex decides to go for it could it be that he might fancy taking Danny's scalp?

What a great idea Mr Gurn :-)
Perhaps someone might start a FB campaign page to encourage Mr and Mrs S to move West to sunny Nairn :-)

Are 'agndas' related to pandas? If so I quite a agree with you, no more football playing limping pandas with political attitude

@Knickanoo we'll tone that one down to "Let's get rid of Danny"

Sounds good.He can moan about how he can't do his job unless the highlands can set their own tax rates and that holyrood has too much power (if he's only in charge of the highlands of course the highlands would need more power) and posture much whilst delivering little.

Yes Danny does moan a lot about taxes, and certainly has postured a lot whilst being with his Tory chums

Personally I reckon he'll go for a job in the 'city' rather than try and hack his failed political career any further

After all that he said during the referendum why on earth would AS stand as a candidate for any Westminster seat? He is just mischief making and can safely be ignored.

What about a proper contest? Alex Salmond v. Gordon Brown in Kircaldy and Cowdebeath. To paraphrase a famous saying "Former First Minister against Former Prime Minister". Perhaps Alex could be considered a "feartie" if he passed up on such a challenge.
