There are lots of UK wide media reports about mysterious bangs last night between 10 and 11 p.m. Here's one report from Aberdeen. One of our regular readers reports hearing them in the Fishertown.

Didn't hear anything but QRA are down the road
Heard a bang just after 10.00 pm from my house in Fishertown but thought it was a firework going off!
Not last night, but Friday night around 10 in the Fishertown. Thought it was fireworks after the festive lights switch-on, but apparently not.
Sorry I had sprouts for lunch!
