One proposal on the consultation was to never grit "others" wasn't it?

ReplyDeleteSeem to be getting a bit stingy with the gritting.
ReplyDeleteRock salt needs vehicles to drive over it for it to work effectively. Vehicles grind the salt into smaller particles to spread it across the road - this means that grit is sometimes not effective when there isn't much traffic. It is suggested that gritting roads that only have minimal traffic is a waste of scarce resources.
