What will happen to the Paddling Pool in 2016? We've had an attempt at listing a few of the possibilities. Below is a diagram of what we think are some possible outcomes. Nairn swimming pool is a historic structure that should be protected by the likes of Historic Scotland. To remove or replace it would be an act of vandalism but I suspect that's what will happen, maybe with the promise of it being rebuilt but I suspect that it'll just be grassed over. Problem solved
ReplyDeleteIt's so obvious the way this is going to end up. Unfeasable to open 2016, demolish and grass over whilst we look at alternative arrangements. Oh dear we have no money. This is a asset that needs protection. Please don't let us loose it

ReplyDeletelovey pool, how about a community 'adoption' of it? We did this 'down south' with a local paddling pool and sandpit. A group arranged to adopt the area and it was managed, maintained and well supported by about 10 local families. In fact, it was so well looked after, the council wanted to take it back! No surprise there. Still being well maintained from what family tell me. Good luck.
