A Nairnshire council?! The SNP already have 2 reps on the Nairnshire committee- maybe you should be asking them what they are doing. Stephen Fuller does seem to be involved in some good community work but Liz Macdonald does very little from what I can see.
Criticism of local politicians is generally published on the Gurn, not if it is over the line into offensive territory though. If you have something strong to say then have a think about it and see if you can but it a different way - you never know, your point may then be far more effective.
Standards of open space and street maintenance in Nairn is deplorable. Our councillors have a duty to ensure that the terms of each contract are adhered to. Under freedom of information the question should be asked how many default notices have been issued this year? I would suggest that non have been actioned therefore it begs the question as to who is running the show!
Excellent news! Now let's all push for a proper Nairnshire Council
ReplyDeleteI wonder as to what other names were up there for nomination for the local SNP group, SNP Nairnites maybe?

ReplyDeleteGuess we really need rich people to be stopped from evading and avoiding taxes before we can address some civic deficiencies!
ReplyDeleteSNP activists. Just what Nairn needs. Even more folk who think that every problem can be resolved with some constitutional tinkering.
