Residents and friends of Gurnshire ought all to visit that website, go to the "People's Choice" page and vote for the Orienteering Championships as a worthwhile event.
It doesn't require registration or personal details (just an email address). Winning the award would generate a lot of positive publicity for Nairn and the area.
C'mon, do it, and get all your friends to do so too!
Thanks for the support. Nairn made a real impression on the orienteering visitors. The president of the International Orienteering Federation said that last year's World Champs was the "best ever for community engagement" that he'd been at. So much of that is down to the Nairn public and businesses; the Nairn running men are still talked about in orienteering circles to this very day.
