Hands on for clocking on

Hands went back on the final empty face of the Courthouse clock tower this morning.

Apologies for sounding negative, but it looks so cheap, why is the clock face grey, unlike the white it used to be. It looks plastic to me. Not that I would ever manage to get up there to have a look, those visits are only for the privileged, not us mere mortals.

Did they had to wait for Home Bargains to open so as to buy the clock?

Another giant waste of money.

Anon @7:16 AM

I couldn't stop laughing after reading this comment. I think it's great.

Well, Anon@2.45pm, you were way out on your prediction, it lasted one day at the right time then resorted back to proper Nairn time (20 minutes ahead of the rest of the relevant time zone!). Today (21/9/20) it's stopped altogether.

Great that we have some normality at last.;)

The work that has been done on the clock faces is amazing everything was removed and has been restored. Well done for all the hard work it must have taken.

over a million quid spent on it including viewing area of which we are not allowed to go on,only fer the priveleged few i believe, also, thousands spent years ago on upgrading courtroom/council offices and installing a lift, only fot courtroom to close and move to inverness, and lastly,,£96,000 spent on a 3 step pedestrian crossing, useless,in wrong place, and hardly used,
those in office are throwing cash at useless things that could have been better spent on housing etc.

When they said the clock is now good until 2100, I thought they meant the year 2100 not 9pm the same night!
