A terrific Games Day - and the new Nairnshire launched

It was quite an event with the Games once again bringing a special day to Nairn. We've seen a suggestion in an Invernessed based website that around 8,000 were present. There certainly was quite a wave of people that came down behind the pipe bands. A wonderful day and thanks to all those hard working volunteers that make it possible.

This observer was helping out at the "Nairnshire" community newspaper stall, where a couple of thousand copies of a free Games Day special were being distributed. It was quite a day there too - onwards and upwards for the new Nairnshre. Thanks to Murray MacRae for the picture below: Michael McGillvary with Andy Dunlop at the Bandstand with a copy of the new Nairnshire.

Like Brigadoon, the Games have gone for another year but what a day we all had - it's up there with Christmas and Hogmany.
